Music Festival in the middle of a world-wide COVID lockdown
In the midst of the COVID-19 Pandemic, we created a virtual music festival that brought people from all over the world together in amazingly immersive and detailed environments. Featuring top talent such as Wiz Khalifa, DJ Snake, Rita Ora, and many others, we delivered 1.74 million hours of content to 225,000 subscribers.
Two years before anyone was talking about the Metaverse, I helped to craft and deliver an actual Metaverse experience. Hydeout was a digital music festival experience showcasing 40 international artists across 20 interactive Unreal Engine generated stage environments.
Attendees had customisable avatars and traded in cryptocurrency for skins, content access, and NFTs through a gamified experience. Chat and virtual dance moves could be exchanged with nearby avatars, creating connection at a time when it was nearly impossible to do so.

The cinematic, documentary-style chapters fuse imaginative virtual environments with live performances shot in real-world environments and digitally augmented performances shot in green screen stages.
Each stage had its own narrative backing up a stellar line-up of artists, on-demand performances, customisable avatars, digital merchandise and gamification. Hydeout provided a next-level experience for music lovers across genres.
